The mashia is a rhythmic instrument that the kids used in the area of Orestiada and Didymoteicho in Evros at the Twelve Days of Christmas festivities and carols along with ntachares (large tambourine). The Masia was encounter since the ancient Egyptians, also it was found at the Middle Ages, and today in many countries from the Far East.
