The installation presents the remnants of a performance that occurred on June 15th at Samothraki, as part of the 2nd Katsiki Festival organised by Sustainable Samothraki.
On display here are the traces of the journey the artists undertook to interpret the festival’s concept by selecting elements of the island’s robust geographical reality, the omnipresence of the goats and the shepherds’ lives built around them. They then blended these elements with artifacts from the museum’s collection, shaping them into a choreographed spatial experience.
Inspired by the hermetic, challenging nature of the island, the creators experimented with unfamiliar territory in artistic expression, where the roles of choreographer and photographer became interchangeable between them.
